Since March 2026, datagon GmbH has ceased to operate in the consultancy sector outside the mobility sector. In our software development work, we focus on measuring the quality of public transport services based on open data.

Mobility means people moving from a starting point to a destination. The term ‘mobility transition’ has become established to describe efforts to improve this movement of people from an environmental and social perspective.
As employees of datagon GmbH, we deal with every form of mobility: walking, cycling, driving and using public transport. Aviation is not currently a focus. It is important to us to help prevent the negative consequences of transport, such as traffic jams, accidents, environmental damage and global warming.
Mobility is not an end in itself. It is almost always a need derived from the purposes to be achieved by travelling from one place to another – be it travelling to work, to a place of education, to go shopping, to an event, on holiday, etc. Our aim is to ensure that
- every traveller can optimise their journeys with digital support according to their needs, and
- to provide transport planners and policymakers with an objective basis for decision-making, enabling them to better align the allocation of financial resources with their objectives.
Mission:
datagon GmbH is an IT company specialising in mobility. We promote the mobility transition through research, analysis and software. A key focus is on evaluating the quality of public transport – for example, in terms of journey times and accessibility.
