datagon GmbH was founded in 1989 by Harald Dahlen and Wolfgang Sprick with the focus on IT consulting and implementation.
In the early 90s these activities were transferred to team-IT GmbH with its base in Wiesbaden and Erfurt. In 2000 this arrangement was abandoned and the following companies were created instead:
|topdev GmbH||Software development (JAVA, Open Source, Microsoft), Consulting (project management, requirements management, quality management)|
|datagon GmbH||IT consulting in general, business and requirement engineering, project management – "classic" and agile (SCRUM framework)|
Harald Dahlen moved to topdev GmbH in the course of this restructuring, Wolfgang Sprick has become the sole director of datagon GmbH
datagon GmbH has deepened its activities in the field of "mobility". Deutsche Bahn (German railway) has supported these activities along with a research cooperation with TU Darmstadt in running projects. Since 1st of August 2016 MOTIS is available from datagon GmbH for other partners as well as a community version or commercial version.
